FUNCTION:                      Single Cylinder Handleset / Typically used on front doors.
                                          The latchbolt is operated by a thumbpiece on the exterior and a knob or lever on the interior.
                                          The handle portion can be locked seperately from the deadbolt by using the key on the exterior or turning the
                                          turnbutton on the inside knob or lever trim.
                                          The deadbolt is operated by a key on the exterior and a thumbturn on the interior.

Helpful Hints:

• This handleset can be used with or without the deadbolt above the handleset.
• This handle has an emergency egress feature.  If the handle is locked, from the inside, you do not have to turn the turnbutton on the knob or lever to unlock the handle portion prior to opening the door.  If you do not physically turn this turnbutton to the unlock position and the door closes behind you, you will be locked out.  The deadbolt portion operates as a standard deadbolt.  If the deadbolt is locked, you must turn the thumbturn to unlock the deabolt prior to exiting.
• This is the only two point locking handleset Kwikset currently offers.
