Helpful Hint:

• The 985S series deadbolt requires a minimum door thickness of 1-3/4".
• Double Cylinder deadbolts are typically used when there is glass within 3' of the door.  A double cylinder prevents someone from breaking the glass and reaching through and opening the deadbolt from the inside.  If you choose a double cylinder, have a plan to exit in case of an emergency - you will need a key to exit the house if the door is locked.
• The 985S deadbolt matches the deadbolt used on the Kwikset Signature Series Double Cylinder Handlesets.
